Daniel Clark MS, LBA, BCBA

I began providing direct intervention in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2008 and have been supervising ABA services since 2013. I achieved a Master of Science in Psychology in 2013 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2016. My experience includes performing skills assessments using various testing curricula and creating skill acquisition programs based on findings, performing functional behavior assessments to determine the underlying motivators (or functions) of maladaptive behaviors and creating treatment plans to reduce the behaviors and replace them with more effective, socially appropriate behaviors. I have worked with patients ages 2 to 56 in a multitude of settings, including centers, homes, supported living residences, daycares, schools, and various areas in the community in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland areas. I have worked with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as cooccurring diagnoses of Down’s Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Pica, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and other developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. In my treatment programming, use a multitude of evidence-based ABA practices, such as discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, behavior chaining with task analyses, shaping, prompt fading, varying schedules of reinforcement, Behavioral Skills Training (BST), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), among others. My approach includes collaboration with every member of the treatment team as well as coming up with creative approaches to problems while still grounding everything in evidence-based interventions.
