This document is designed to inform you about my background and ensure that you understand our professional relationship.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

I entered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2008 as a behavior technician. I attained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in December 2012, and a master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders in December 2017. Upon completion of the required coursework and supervised experience hours, I intend to sit for my BCBA exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I have worked in center-based and in-home programs, as well as in community and school settings. I have experience working with children ages 2-13 years old, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s, epilepsy, and attention deficit disorder. I have experience with a variety of teaching methodologies, including discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching and direct instruction. I have implemented behavior change programs designed to increase functional communication, self-care and independence, teach appropriate leisure and social skills, and reduce challenging behaviors by increasing socially significant behaviors. I am a registered Behavior Analysis Interventionist with the state of Oregon and have my CPR and AED certification. Additionally, I am trained in the implementation of Safety-CareTM.
